BICC Hosts High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships 2024: Global Leaders Convene in Bali, Garnering Awards for Best Convention Centre and Incentive Hotel

Nusa Dua, Bali, 9 September 2024 – Bali International Convention Centre (BICC), in partnership with The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali, proudly hosted the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLFMSP) from 2–3 September 2024. Organized by PACTO and spearheaded by Indonesia’s Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), the forum successfully gathered nearly 1,000 participants, including 36 heads of state and dignitaries from over 75 countries. The event was part of the broader Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) taking place simultaneously at Mulia Bali Resort.

With the theme “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Development: Towards A Transformative Change,” the forum featured a High-Level Plenary Session, Parallel Sessions, a Gala Dinner, and a vibrant Cultural Performance. The prestigious event attracted prominent representatives from governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, philanthropists, academia, and the private sector, all uniting to discuss innovative solutions for global development. The Minister of Defense of Indonesia, Bapak Prabowo Subianto, was among the distinguished guests in attendance.

Event Highlights:

  • Leaders Session and High-Level Plenary Session
  • Thematic Parallel Sessions on Sustainable Economy, Innovative Financing, and Strengthening South-South and Triangular Cooperation
  • Gala Dinner and Cultural Event showcasing Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage

Countries with prominent head-of-state participation included South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, alongside international organizations such as the United Nations, ASEAN, and the African Union.

In a fitting accolade, BICC and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali were honored with two prestigious awards at the World MICE Awards 2024, which were announced on 3 September:

  • Indonesia’s Best Convention Centre 2024 – Bali International Convention Centre (BICC)
  • Indonesia’s Best Incentive Hotel 2024 – The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali

These awards underscore BICC’s commitment to delivering world-class MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) services and further solidify its reputation as Indonesia’s premier destination for high-level international events.
