Plan events that drive positive change.
At BICC, we are committed to a sustainable future, with practices and initiatives that focus on preserving our environment, reducing waste, and giving back to our local community. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

As part of the Marriott International family, we actively support the Good Travel by Marriott Bonvoy program, which encourages guests to engage in meaningful, eco-conscious travel experiences. Through this initiative, visitors at our resort and convention centre can participate in activities such as beach clean-ups, coral planting, and local culture conservation efforts. This program aims to foster a deeper connection with Bali’s natural beauty while leaving a positive impact on the environment.

In collaboration with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS), a leading food rescue charity, we address food waste by donating surplus food to those in need. By redistributing excess food from our kitchens and events, we help reduce waste and contribute to the well-being of the local community. Our partnership with SOS reflects our commitment to minimizing food wastage and supporting food security for the underprivileged.

As part of our eco-friendly initiatives, we’ve installed electric car charging stations to support the transition to greener transportation. Guests and event attendees with electric vehicles can recharge conveniently at our property, helping to reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner energy use. This initiative not only enhances guest convenience but also aligns with our goal of contributing to a more sustainable future for Bali.

Our resort and convention centre prioritize energy and water conservation by incorporating smart technologies and sustainable practices in our daily operations. We have implemented energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures, and HVAC systems to minimize our environmental footprint. Regular audits ensure that we continue to identify new ways to save energy and water while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

We have a comprehensive waste management program in place that emphasizes waste separation, recycling, and composting. Additionally, we actively reduce single-use plastics by replacing them with biodegradable or reusable alternatives throughout our operations. From offering refillable water stations to using eco-friendly packaging in our restaurants, we continuously seek ways to minimize our plastic consumption.
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our food and beverage offerings. We source ingredients locally wherever possible, supporting Bali’s farmers and reducing our carbon footprint. By prioritizing organic and sustainably farmed produce, we ensure that our menus are not only healthier but also eco-friendly. Additionally, we partner with local artisans and suppliers to promote Bali’s craftsmanship and reduce the environmental impact of imported goods.

At BICC, we believe in hosting green meetings and events that reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality. From sustainable catering options to eco-friendly event setups, we offer solutions to help planners minimize their event’s carbon footprint. Our team can assist in reducing paper usage, selecting eco-conscious décor, and offering digital alternatives for invitations and signage. We also monitor energy consumption during events to ensure sustainable operations.
Through these initiatives and more, BICC and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali continue to lead by example in the hospitality industry’s journey towards sustainability. We are dedicated to creating a greener, more responsible future while providing exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests and event attendees.
